Whenever a hot tub air blower is replaced, it is essential that a new back flow Check Valve is also installed to assure that spa water does not back into and destroy your new blower motor. As an added precaution, make sure that the blower hose also has a Hartford Loop above the water line, per diagram.
Product notes: 1.5" Slip Socket x 2.0" Spigot, each end. Do not cement blower hose connections - use set screws or clamps. Tip - Adapt a 1.5" blower to 2" plumbing by attaching a short section of 1.5" hose to the blower, and using the Check Valve to join to 2" hose.

check valve in hot tub
This check valve was used to keep water from backing up into my spa blower. There should have been one in the original design. I was worried that the check valve would introduce to much pressure drop in the air flow but this was not the case. It worked great!!
Works great and built very well.
Installed check valve with my brand new air blower from Spa Depot. Used hot tub once and new air blower was flooded with water due to check valve not stopping the water.
Solved the back pressure issue.
