I knew the Balboa easyPak was a good controler but it has also been upgraded since my last one. Nice move to put the temp sensors directly into the heating tube. The basic topside control panel can be a bit frustrating but given time, it's just another device to learn how to program properly. The phone app with wifi control is the way to go but I wanted to keep the price down. It swapped out with my old one no problem and worked first time!
Don't even think about it, use the filter when you fill. You won't regret it.
These filters I get from SpaDepot are always great, and these guys are always helpful with all my questions about my hot tub.

Unconventional use here. I needed to link together 1.5 inch pipe from the big box store in order have one long rail with no bump for a camera dolly (to have a smooth shot) and it does that perfectly!!

Spa filter is of good quality. But Spa Depot kills it with great service and super fast shipping.
I like these much better than the OEM filters.
