LifeCast Rio Hot Tub Spa
 5/23/2012 Great value!
Great value! Replaced an older Jacuzzi brand with this economical tub
Beause of smaller size easier to manuever. Would recommend replacing filter with a taller 13. 5 inch style to skim/capture oil/floating matter from surface. ($29. 95).

5/12/2012 sooo happy we bought it!
i use it daily when i'm home
. . we travel for work alot. . . but that aside: i LOVE this spa!!!!! i have the plug-n-play 120v and it literally plugged and played. . . it took me awhile to decide on the color. . . the brown matched the deck, the tan looks great in the picture but ultimately, i want to feel like i am in a deep blue sea when i'm in it. . . so i got the blue and LOOOOVE it (besides, the cover is on when we're not in it). . . . . i had a hard time with the digi panel at first, so i checked another site online (sorry) and got clarity, so i think maybe SpaDepot could improve on their instructions. . . . . BUT it's not a complaint. . . just a suggestion. . . . . love it!! getting in it right now!

5/7/2012 Day One... Round Robin fun in the Spa
We just filled our spa although we received it a couple of months ago
The men who brought it to us were very helpful to get my spa in the correct location. I tipped the $100 since they made life much easier on me. When I filled my spa this past weekend, I had a fault message on the controller that was preventing the pumps to initially run. On Monday morning I called and the first guy that I talked to pointed me in the right direction for an easy fix. So tonight, Monday night, my wife and I enjoyed our first test run of all the great seats and jet action in the spa. We can't hardly wait to get our deck built around the spa and invite friends over. .

 4/29/2012 Better than we expected
We have had this spa 3 years and are still happy with it, especially the fact that it adds VERY little to the pge bill (about $20-25/mo in winter, less in the summer) since it gets its heat from the pump motor instead of a heater (yes, it gets and stays very hot with the cover on) and we can move it when and where we want with minimal effort
We keep it under our backporch for our northern CA rainy winters and then move it out by the inground pool in the summer. If I had it to do over, I would have bought the upgraded steps. If you get freebies with your order, I suggest additional sanitizer and filters. If you need a spa that will stay hot for hours without the cover on, this is not for you. It does lose about a degree an hour in cold weather wo/ the cover, but really, who stays in much longer than that? For normal recreational use, I doubt you could beat the price and ease.

 4/28/2012 For 2, just right!
We've had this spa for almost 4 years now
The only gripe I can think of is the poor assembly instructions and no parts list. The built in ground fault plug (120 volt) shot craps after about a year, but wasn't that hard to replace. My wife and I are both arthritic, and the spa eases those pains. We get in whenever we wake up sore. I'm a big 'un (6'5, 280 lb) and it's plenty big enough for both of us. If you don't have a lot of space, and don't want to wash a bunch of friends at once, this spa can't be beaten!.

4/26/2012 Better spa for the money
When we decided to get our spa the choice was between the Belize e600L and the Sundance Hawthorne 680
After evaluating both spas, we decided on the Belize. Although the Sundance does have 2 more headrests and is a few inches larger, the Belize beat it on price by a lot. I know The Spa Depot has sold these for years and they have a great track record and strong warranty. I admit it felt like we were taking a risk buying online, but almost everything is sold online these days. When you see the quality of the spa and cabinet you will not be disappointed. Even the spa cover is beautiful and thickly insulated. This is the best big ticket purchase we have made online. .

 4/25/2012 SO WORTH IT!!!!
I purchased the hot tub four years ago
I was hesitant to buy a large item over the internet. I am so glad I "took the plunge". I have had so many compliments on it. The kids and their friends are in it a lot. I really enjoy soaking in it during a snowstorm. That's Western New York weather for ya! I restained the cabinet 2 years ago and it still looks brand new. The only problem is that the cover became waterlogged over time. I feel this product was certainly worth the price. .

 4/20/2012 Better than expected
We will be building our "dream home" in about 3 more years which will no doubt have a great spa
But we wanted something to tide us over until then as my husband has a physically demanding job and has a lot of aches and pains which are helped by hot water therapy. So we decided to buy a "cheap" little spa for the meantime. However, I must say we were surprised by the quality and construction of the Life Cast! It is really a great little spa and can't be beat for the money paid. Highly recommended by me (and my husband!).

We wanted a high end spa but our patio space is somewhat limited so the Belize E800L seemed like the perfect choice
When it arrived WOW what a beauty! We are very happy with the purchase and the entire family gets good use out of it every week. (By the way, you were right about the power savings. It costs very little to operate. ) Thank you Spa Depot!!!.

We compared the Lifecast Antigua to the other round hot tubs on the market and chose it because it was deeper and had more jets

Arrived in a week! The delivery guy backed the semi right up to the garage
Setup was a disaster. hammer fell on my head, I thought I turned the water all the way off, I didn't. . . I overflowed the tub and I think I have a very tiny drip/leak somewhere I have to investigate (that's my luck tho). All that aside, this was an upgrade from a smaller tub I had. Best purchase ever!! 3/16/2012 Great Tub - Fantastic Customer Service!
Ok - time to give the final write-up on this tub, company and customer service
I wrote the first review below, after having the tub for a few weeks and running into a problem with it not being able to maintain heat. My experience up to that point with the company and customer service had been exceptional. But all of a sudden - I was getting no response from Ryan which had been helping me. It seemed as though after 3 days of no email response (where he had usually been very prompt) he had chosen to give up on me and simply go quiet. Come to find out that the northwest had experienced severe weather and the offices had been closed and employees sent home. Ryan was back on-line with me the first thing Monday morning. I was very busy with my own business, so I didn't bother trying to call. If I had, I would have been notified of this situation sooner and my frustration would have been alleviated quicker. But, not to worry. Ryan got on the ball; on his own called the manufacturer and got them to agree to send me a 5. 5Kw brand new heater in exchange for my 4. 0Kw heater that was defective; just to be sure that I would be satisfied with whatever temperatures my climate here in Colorado would put forth. All free! I had to install it - which was a 15 minute job easy enough for anyone.
I have been running my own company for almost 20 years now, and have come to believe that I am the only one left in the World that cares about customer support, satisfaction and repeat business. I have found another such company now. If you call for customer support, you never have to wait. You always get someone helpful, courteous and responsive. They offer to follow-up via email and make things easy on you. If you are like me, your number one concern with doing business a thousand miles away over the internet is, "are they going to be there to help you when things go bad"? The effort that the owners put into customer support shows; you never get the dreaded "we are experiencing heavier than normal call volume" messages when you call their support number; your first indication that a company really doesn't care about customer support/satisfaction. Not from this place. And, this always comes from the top down, the great attitude that everyone I talked to at SpaDepot - Everyone - proves that whoever is running the show has this as a number one priority. I couldn't be happier with this company, their product, and certainly most of all their customer service. Second to none. And believe me, I am the World's best critic on customer service. You couldn't pick a better-run company to do business with, no matter what widget they were selling. .

 1/19/2012 Quicker heating tip
If you fill your tub from your hot water tank on a slow trickle, or light stream, your hot water tank will keep up to the flow and your tub will be full and hot in about 3-4 hours
If you drain your hot water tank and it has to heat ice cold water, it takes a long time, but the slow stream idea really works! I'm on my second tub, the first one lasted more then 3 years and I decided to upgrade a size. .

1/12/2012 Could not be happier with the e850L
We've had the Belize e850L about 3 months now and I really must say I don't think we could be any happier
Everything from the knowledge of the customer service staff of the product to the installation to the easy maintenance with the Cleanwater Blue system has been a 10 out of 10 experience! The spa is always ready to jump in. I check the chemicals about once a week (takes 5 minutes) and do a filter cleaning about once every 2-3 weeks which probably is not necessary but I like to keep it clean. That's it. . . . Water is hot, clear, and the operation has been very economical. We've had a very cold winter and so I greatly appreciate the excellent insulation of the spa and the thick well-built spa cover which really locks in the heat.

 1/4/2012 What's not to like.
1
Ordered spa and next day got a notice that my order shipped (of course this site says 3-5 weeks for delivery). No indication what shipped or any details at all. Left me wondering if it was the cover, the ez-lifter, chemicals, etc? Gave an equally ambiguous link to a site to track my shipment. All the site said was "Delivery by 12/30". So, I got the electrician busy over the holiday to hurry up and get the wiring set. Well, after several phone calls after the Xmas holiday, I finally find out that "Delivery by. . . " means delivered to the main shipping hub in Denver 60 miles away. They wouldn't get it to me for another 7 days from there.
2. Electrician got the neutral wiring wrong on Friday evening before New Year's weekend. Support was not available; and the tub would not work. Had to wait until Tuesday to get ahold of Spa Depot support. The folks are really great! First person, Ryan, said to take a picture of the breaker box and send it to him. He immediately got back and told me what was wrong. The electrician fixed it and voila - the tub was working.
3. Well - I had filled the Tub the previous Friday and it got down to 10 degrees. When we started the tub on Tuesday, it registered 36 degrees. And the pumps would run but not the heater. Ryan talked us through a dip switch on the motherboard to force the heater on. 16 hours later, I was at 100 degrees and watching the meteor shower at 3am!!!!
4. Big roomy tub that comfortable seats 5 big adults upright, plus 1 of any size in the lounger.
5. Assuming the details are correct; tops in energy efficiency and filtering/cleanliness.
6. I checked out the interior and it seems very well designed and put together. Repairs should be easy as nothing is encased in foam as with older spas.
7. Worth mentioning again. . . they really do take their customer support seriously. A lost art in today's world. You never have to wait long (1 second to a couple minutes) to talk to someone live via 800 number or exchange emails. They are very knowledgeable. This is invaluable when you are buying something this expensive online. I really cannot say enough about how much effort, and it shows, that they put into taking care of their customer. .

11/28/2011 A Fantastic Spa you can't go wrong with.
This is my first Spa
Everyone thought I was nuts for buying it online, but I can’t see buying it any other way, particularly since I can’t afford dealer prices and most dealers don’t stock spa’s anymore anyway so they end up shipping it in the same manner. I got it with all the options, the stainless jets are nice. It arrived in about 2 weeks on a pallet with the spa cover in a separate box. It’s very heavy, but with 3 people and a dolly I was able to get it to the back yard to my concrete patio. The Lifecast spa otherwise known as Durasport is manufactured by a company called Strong Spa’s out of rural PA. This is their deluxe model in their budget line of Spa’s. Akin to their name this Spa is built like a tank, no frame here; entirely molded plastic. There are videos on the internet of people taking a baseball bat to these with no damage and I have no doubt you could (Although you won’t see me trying that). I can easily see why they can throw in a lifetime shell warranty. The separate side panels give this spa a classier look than most molded spas and standard spas. Inside the spa is extremely clean and well-built and organized. They really should post pictures of it. A better video of this would help show how nice it is inside and out. The Spa pack and controls is Balboa with a waterway pump. They fill the molded plastic floor and walls with foam for the insulation, but the spa cabinet itself is open with no insulation. The panels are screwed onto the molded frame. The only thing I really didn’t like is they didn’t put screws in the corners of the panels, which allowed some small gaps (not visual) to form that can let in cold air. I wish they had a “cold weather package” to add additional insulation. This Spa is fairly well insulated compared to other Spa’s in its price range, but I can definitely see that this could use some extra insulation in the open areas within the spa cabinet. Living in the Chicago area I didn’t even try to use it at 120v. I’ve heard too many problems with people unable to use their 120v spas in the winter, so I hooked mine straight up to 240v with the help of an electrician (it was a lot more work than I expected). The spa pack install tech guide contradicted the manual for the 240v conversion, I had the electrician follow the install tech guide and had no problems. The electric terminals on the spa pack are barely big enough for #6 wire and they didn’t leave you much room, which made the task of hooking it up a struggle. At 240v it heated the spa up in a few hours. The coldest we’ve tried it at was 27 degrees and we had no heat loss with jets running. In fact with the jets off the heater actually cycled for short periods, since the spa was hot enough. Its electric usage is a little higher than we expected, but after talking with other spa owners it’s typical of running a spa in the cold. You also do need to drill holes and install the Spa cover locks yourself, I was a bit surprised by this, but I guess it probably is typical since the cover is made by a different company. One nice feature is part of the lounger doubles as a cool down seat. All the jets are fixed with two air controls controlling their respective side of the Spa. It’s definitely deep enough for me at 6” 2’ and I can stretch my legs out comfortably enough. If you had more 4 people in it things will get really tight. It could probably be a little bigger if you plan on using it for bigger parties, but for the price and my typical use it’s perfect. I can’t recommend this enough. Anyone looking for a Spa will be very happy with this. .

We ordered this spa having never seen or tried it, and have been INCREDIBLY pleased with it
The jet pressure and placement are superb, the overall design including the wooden sides is classy and functional, and we like being able to move around the three locations and adjusting the jets to vary their effects. GET THE ECOCIRC! Our spa is placed right outside our bedroom and without the constant circulation the pump would have to cycle off and on through the day and night. The additional expense up front is well worth it. GREAT SPA, terrific on-line experience. Thanks! .

I bought this G2 spa from SpaDepot and am very happy with this purchase
This is a great spa for a reasonable price. I'm using 120V which is good enough for Southern California. It took just over a day to heat up fully. The depth is good and I'm able to soak with the water above my shoulders.
Shipping was faster than expected and the customer support from SpaDepot was very helpful.

 10/24/2011 follow-up review
I wrote the earlier review titled " Everything they say it is"
After two years, my review still stands. My USED Eclipse (Luna) hot tub is still running beautifully, economically, and still helping me survive on a daily basis. Just now it's down so I can relocate it to a new deck I'm building, and boy let me tell you, am I missing it! It is still the best purchase I've ever made, and I haven't yet had to replace a single part. If you live in extremely cold climates, you may want a 220 volt unit, but other than that, the Dream Maker is, as advertised, fantastic. The only complaint I have to make is that the screws used to install the control panel are not stainless steel. I recommend going to Fastenall and purchasing 4 replacements and installing them - though the rust hasn't affected performance in any way. It's purely an aesthetic thing for me. If this is how a used unit performs, you have nothing to fear in purchasing a new one. .

 9/20/2011 really great!
I'm sopleased with my spa! It seems to help with my arthritis and other aches and pains
BUT - a couple of suggestions. It would really help old ladies like me if there were HANDLES on the side - since it doesn't fold (which would also help!!) it is somewhat difficult to slide the cover off to the side or end when I'm using the spa. A handle would really solve this - I'm thinking of creating something on my own, but thought you'd like a suggestion. operation is very simple and my questions were quickly answered by either tech support or Dr Tubbs - .

 9/9/2011 Great spa
I actually purchased my G2 under a different brand name (Durasport) elsewhere, but it appears to be the exact same spa as Spa Depot's LifeCast brand
I can say it has performed without any problems for nearly a year. It has plenty of room for us and was pretty easy to set up on the deck especially since it was plug and play. But we live in a very cold climate in northern Minnesota so after the summer was over we wired it for 220 volts. That proved to be a wise move as it heats very fast and stays hot in the winter. So being convertible voltage is a good feature if your weather gets cold in winter. My only regret is that I wish the Spa Depot had sold these last year because we paid over $4000 for our G-2 with tax. .

6/6/2011 Great product delivered in A+ condition
I was naturally concerned to make such a large purchase over the internet, but after seeing a virtually identical spa at the local retail store for $6000 + tax (10%) + delivery + chemicals, etc
, I decided to order from spadepot. The spa arrived in about 3 weeks and was absolutely flawless, not a dent or scratch anywhere. Living in the South we decided the 120v heater and that appears to be a good decision. . . we'll see when winter comes, but it was able to heat the water from the tap to 102 degrees in les than 18 hours. Geart product, well packed and delivered reasonably quickly. A++.

 5/6/2011 Spa on folks!!
This is our 3rd hot tub, the first 2 being junky compared to the Belize! Not only does the e500L look like the Rolls Royce of the spa scene, it performs way beyond my expectations
Easy programmed buttons operate everything. The sound system which we bought as an option is incredibly good. Temperature goes to 104 and it heats up super fast (ok my last one was a 120 volts and this ones a 220 volts, so I am sure that helps a lot) super quiet operating, even on the biggest baddest settings doesn't offend the ears. All this and fun color lights too! A dream come true for this gal! I got a steal too buying online from Spadepot. com. I saved a bunch about 4K with free delivery and a huge chemical kit. The warranty is awesome too. Best thing I've done for myself in ages. Spa on folks!.

Very easy to take care of spa
At 170 gallons - I just empty the spa and put fresh water in it from my hot water heater, directly. I can flip it over myself to drain pipes for the winter. The 110volt just plugs into my patio gfci outlet. I'm noticed about a $25 difference in my electric bill - but, I only use it from May to September. .

I am very pleased with the unit. The only time I am completely pain-free is when I'm soaking in the hot water. The delivery man was very helpful and actually wheeled the tub into my basement and set it in the place I designated for it. I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. .

 4/21/2011 Worked GREAT all winter!
Back with another review after using the Big EZ all winter
Wanted to tell everyone how this worked in the winter as well as when the temp is well above freezing. We live in SC, so winters are really not an issue, but the wind is. Being on the east coast, we do get the cold winds out of the northeast every time a cold front plunges down from Canada. Where we had the hot tub, we were exposed to many windy days/nights , and it is not the cool temps that rob the heat from the water as much as the wind, so we moved the tub into our garage for the winter, and not being a heated garage, was often very cool (30's-40's all winter long. With no wind to contend with the hot tub worked great. Always stayed at temp(usually set at 102) and without the wind made for some really nice hot-tubbing! With May just around the corner, we are draining, cleaning and getting ready to move it back to the patio out back. We have found that having a plug-and-play is very nice, as you can move it with the help of a couple friends with no problem and put it any where you want!During the summer we will drop the temp a few degrees and continue to enjoy it outside. Having a bad back, I also use this for therapy, and it is really nice every day. The whole family loves it, and it really is easy to maintain and keep the water clean and clear. Like I said before, for the money, ease of maintaining, and the cost of operating(pennies a day)this was the best bang for the dollar! Most can't believe this is pluged into the wall! i am sold on this one, as it seems we are in a $10000 spa! .

Cedar skirt looks great and planks have nice grain with no loose knots, very nice. Shell is flawless. Very easy to setup and maintain. All in all, totally happy with product and highly recommend. .

 4/12/2011 Exceeds Expectations
I was a bit hesitant to purchase this spa because I was afraid that the price meant "cheap"
It was perfect for my budget and perfect size, so I took a chance after researching it on differant spa blogs.
Just as they said, the Spa arrived on time and to my door. My brother and I rolled it into place filled it with water and turned it on in less than an hour. Setup was minutes, it was filling it that took the time.
The spa was HOT within 24 hours, and I mean HOT. I ended up turning it down a few degrees.
I use this spa nearly daily to relax after a long day. We dont normally go below freezing but the spa was always hot and toasty even during the winter months. It didnt seem to turn on that often and I barely noticed a change in our energy consumption.
I had one problem where the controls "fogged" up with moisture. I called Spa Depot and 48 hours later I had the replacement part on my door step. . . WOW!
The size and depth is perfect for two people, and even with 4 it would not be too bad.
It is absolutely the best solution when you just want a small footprint. The spa jets are plenty powerful, and I was surprised how bright the fiber optic lighting was. . . . it REALLY is beautiful!!!
I later purchased the ozone injector and installed it. Seemed to keep the water fresher, so I would recommend it from the onset.
I am a VERY PICKY person, and I ABSOLUTELY recommend this spa and Spa Depot.
Thanks!

4/12/2011 It doesn't get any better than this
I searched for a long time to find that perfect spa that would accomadate my wife and me and I wasn't interested in having a larger spa
I just felt like it should be a private thing.
My spa came in about 3 weeks and the truckers were very helpful in getting it to my deck where it fits very nicely. They even helped to remove the packaging and pallets and took them for me.
Set-up was a breeze--I had it filled and running in less than two hours. I use the 120 volt supplied electric cord and that is sufficient for this sized spa. It keeps the temp. at a perfect 101 degrees. Chemicals were sent in advance and more than sufficient to keep my spa sparkling. It's not noisy and in fact soothing when I am in it. I downloaded a complete manual from the internet and there was sufficient documentation and instructions that came with the spa.
My spa is at the end of my deck and when I flip the cover up, it rests against the deck railing giving me complete privacy. It's very attractive and well constructed. Believe me this 70 year old body is loving the spoiling it's getting.
It has been worth the wait and the research to find this particular Spa. .

I wrote an earlier review, when we had had this hot tub for almost one year - we have now had it almost three years and I wanted to report in - we are still completely impressed with this product!! It has made it now through three winters of many below-zero days and nights without any problems at all!! Ease of cleaning and easy-change filters are a big plus as well - excellent buy and absolutely amazing quality!! We definitely recommend, though, at least for these climes, the higher voltage and the ozonator, for best performance

3/21/2011 Small Spa with Large Value!!
We were in the market for a small spa to relax in after a hard day
The eco-friendly Belize e480L was the right choice. The 77" foot print is large enough to relax in but does not use up the whole patio space. The 4HP pump is more than enough to power all the jets. The craftsmanship is superior. I would definitly recommend the EcoCirc pump to keep the water circulating thru the filter, and the spa is ready when you need it. Belize is the way to go, so much value for the money. .

Great Hot tub
However the manual was sketchy at best! Lets put it this way I had to spend an hour just figuring out if the jets had to be on in order to heat. Silly yes, but ultimately the time could of been better spent in the tub had I had instructions in the first place. The chem kit is great and a big A+ to Spadepot for that! All around solid construction. Fantastic delivery guys, well packed, sturdy and good looking. 5/5.

We've had the Dream Maker now for about 5 months and use it about 3-4 times weekly
It was more than easy to set up and has performed flawlessly so far. We did not have the budget for an expensive spa but the 500 model has certainly been a good spa value for the money. It has the econo heater which keeps the water hot in colder climates, which was a good idea in our location. I would recommend it for anyone that does not require all of the bells and whistles of an expensive model. .

 2/19/2011 Love it!
Since it gets quite cold here in the winter months, and we wanted to use our hot tub year around, we were concerned about energy efficiency and wanted a spa that will maintain its temperature during cold weather
That's why we decided on the version of the Odyssey that comes with the Econo circ heater system instead of the heat-recovery model. Must say, we've had no problems keeping it warm. Although not as luxurious as an $8000 spa, it is just what we needed. It has been easy on electricity (our bill went up about $19). Two thumbs up from my wife and I. .

 2/1/2011 Belize Oval II
I have owned my Belize Oval II for well over two years now
For a single person who doesn't often have large parties this spa is perfect. For one (and especially two!!!) this spa is all you need. It is very easy and inexpensive to maintain. Costs about $15. 00 a month to run, needs two teaspoons of Cleanwater Blue every two weeks, and two teaspoons of non-chlorine shock after each use (and that is without showering before use). It will only drop a degree or two (240 volt model) even in 0 degree windy weather. The only trouble was one jet started coming out during use but flexing by hand cured this problem. A little routine TLC is all this spa needs thus far. I NEVER miss using it nightly unless out of town. Looked at two-person spas for months before settling on this one. Certainly glad I did with no regrets. .

 1/28/2011 2 Thumbs Up!
The staff at The Spa Depot was great
They didn't do the used car salesman thing but took the time to educate us on the diffrent options, colors, etc. and how to do the basic maintenance. The synthetic wood paneling is great because my husband wanted that so it would continue to look new without having to re-stain it every year or so. It took about 3 1/2 weeks to get it and well worth the short wait. The delivery guys unloaded and put it on our driveway. They would have put it on our patio for a small fee, but it was not quite ready yet. It was really no big deal moving it when the time came because some friends helped us. But these spas are heavy, so get one of those little furniture dollies to make it easy to roll. We found one at Home Depot for about 20 bucks that make moving it easy.
We have had the Belize for about 3 months and not one problem other than me trying to learn to maintain the water. My husband said that he was surprised at the high quality we really got for the price.
The spa is really well insulated, plumbing was all left accessible so that we can get to it if there ever was a problem that needs repair. And I notice when they had it on it's side to go out to the patio that the bottom was completely closed up. I like that so the bugs won't get in there. We choose the E Series spa because energy efficiency is important to us. I have been monitoring the electric bill and it is only been on average $14 higher then before and we use it at least 3-4 times a week so thats great. They said to keep the cover strapped down when not using the spa will hold in the heat. The cover is thicker than the one on our neighbors spa, so I'm sure that helps keep the electric cost down too.
I can say that you should not hesitate to deal with this company. They are very helpful you get a real person on the phone that tries their best to answer your questions without a bit of pressure to buy, and that's something important to me. When our chemicals run out, we will continue to buy our supplies from the Spa Depot, they have everything. Two thumbs up for company and Belize! .

 1/27/2011 Excellent buying experience
We purchased the Belize 1500ls about four months ago, and we've been extremely happy with it
The size is about right for our family. Admittedly I don't know the first thing about hot tub jets or pumps and such, but the jets are powerful and it has been a breeze to operate and maintain. We haven't had to make any maintenance calls. Other than the routine pH and adding the sanitizer (which they provided for free, a nice big set of chemicals) and the occasional change of water, we have been able to enjoy our new hot tub without much effort.
The spa is roomy and seems well made without being as pricey as some of the higher end models. The control panel that controls the jets is simple to operate both from inside and outside the hot tub. We like the LED light especially at night which was about $50 extra. We live in northern Minnesota so sitting out in the hot tub at night while it's very cold and often snowing is a great experience for everyone in the family and a good way to get us all together at least once a day!
My only disappointment was that at the time we ordered it there were only two colors to choose from, tan and blue. Now they have several other colors and it would have been nice had I known this was coming. .

It keeps the temperture very well and heats up much faster then I thought it would. It drops about a 1-2 degrees per hour in 20-below tempertures. 12/12/2010 Very happy with my purchase
My sentiments reflect many of those reviewing before me
I also was hesitant to purchase sight unseen. This also is my second hot tub, the fist lasted me 25 years. I have always kept my hot tub indoors, out of the sun's UV rays, which probably helped it age so well. Keeping a hot tub indoors has never been a problem in either of the 2 homes I have had the tub in. Since it is indoors, and I already had a dedicated 110 volt line, I went with the standard 110 volt. Being it is indoors I have no complaints with the 110 volt, but would insist on 220 Volt out doors in Nebraska.
Customer Service with Spadepot was excellent. I am on the phone all day in my work, and it is rare to find a company so easy to find a live body to speak with so easily. Quality of the product is equal or better than than anything in a local spa dealer showroom. Shipping took longer than expected, but it was not on my nickle, so I really cannot complain. It was delivered to my garage, and two of us, with a moving dolly had no problem getting it into place. It really is plug and play.
The first thing I noticed, was the previous tub would heat to 106 degrees, I missed it at first, but at at 104 degrees, I can enjoy the tub for a longer period of time. The cover fits so much better I lose very little water to evaporation, however I wish the top folded in the middle, often there is only one person in the tub.
I found the local hot tub dealers all wanted to sell gargantuan tubs to hold lots of people, and had no interest in selling small units. Those who would could not touch the price from Spadepot In all the years I have had a tub, it has only been used by my wife and I. At the end of the day it is a nice place for some quiet relaxation and conversation together. .

 12/7/2010 Works great
We bought the 110V unit
We keep it around 101F. With the cover closed, it has no problem maintaining temperature even when it is 20F outside. While bathing it drops about 1F every 10 mins or so, faster if it is windy. Wind has a greater effect than outside temperature, so make sure it is installed in a sheltered area. It heats up a lot slower, probably around 1F every hour.
Our family is 2 adults and one child, and this tub is more than large enough for all 3 of us. I think it can fit 3 adults easily.
Installation was simple, despite the instructions being very sketchy. The manual didn't say you have to cut holes on the panel to get the wires out. It doesn't also tell you how to turns things on. As soon as you plug it in, the pump starts running. There is a warning not to run the pump without water so it is better to fill with water before even plugging it in.

 12/6/2010 Highly recommended!
I bought the X-500 mainly because I wanted the lounger
When I filled it up it was 15 degrees outside. The initial heat up time was longer than expected, but the outside temp played a huge factor to that. It took about 36hrs for the tub to reach 104 degrees which it maintains easily now. The only complaint I have is it took almost 3 weeks to get it to me. After I hadn't received it after 2 weeks I called to find it hadn't even shipped so I said to the operator to cancel my purchase as it had already been completely paid for. Magically the next day I had a shipping tracking #. I don't know if someone lost my purchase request at spadepot or at Dreammaker, but atleast I finally got the hottub. I'm glad I waited and didn't cancel the order. The waterfall and lights are really cool at night. .

 11/12/2010 Great Hot Tub!!
We were a little skeptical about buying a hot tub on-line, and since all we had were reviews of others, it really made it a hard choice! Also, we were not to sure about a spa you couls simply plug in, but at the same time really did not want our electric bill to jump $40-$50 a month on a 50 amp line
Having been in smaller spas, we wanted a larger one, and the BIG EZ was what we were looking for. Best thing we ever ordered unseen!! Arived in a little over a week, was light enough for four of us to put on deck, and since all we had to do was fill it and plug it in, it was very simple. We did get the optional heater when we ordered, and glad we did. Instead of a couple of days to wait before using, was only one. The water stays hot(never gone below 102) while we are in, but as with any hot tub, the cold wind is the enemy and will rob your heat quickly. When the winds are blowing, we only open the cover up half way so it blocks most of it. The LED light is a nice touch, and the settings on the light itself are pretty cool. (any of the seven colors, or a strobe white light, or the rainbow) We didn't find out about that untill we tried it for the first time. Great air pump, nice that you can seperate the air from one half of the tub to the other. Jets are fine also, not the same as a $10000 spa, but work just fine. You can hear it when everything is at full speed, but not annoying. The waterfall is a nice touch, we like to run it about halfway open so you get the sound of trickling water and not a river. Roomy, easy to take care of(we are first timers, thought taking care of the water was going to be hard)and a great addition to the house, a wonderful way to relax, and really a great place to get away from the rest of the world, and have nice conversations without the distractions of everyday stress! As you can tell, we are sold on our spa, love the melt-away-let-the -world-go-away feeling we get from using it. Although we have only had it for two weeks, I already know we will use it everyday! We will update in a few months and let you know how it is operating after a winters use!.

MY WIFE AND I DECIDED WE REALLY NEEDED A HOT TUB FOR MEDICAL REASONS
AFTER MUCH RESEARCH ONLINE WE PURCHASED BELIZE 2000LS, THE SPA IS VERY DEEP AND SPACIOUS AND JETS ARE POWERFUL AND WITH 220V HEATER IT WARMS UP VERY QUICKLY. THE UNIT IS WELL INSULATED, WE FOUND THE SPA HOLDS THE HEAT VERY WELL, WOOD IS VERY NICE AND THE CLEAN BLUE KIT IT COMES WITH IS VERY EASY TO USE. I HAVE HAD TO USE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ABOUT WATER BALANCING AND THEY ARE VERY HELPFUL. SPA ARRIVED ABOUT 2 WEEKS AFTER ORDERING ON A BIG TRUCK AND THE UNIT WAS WELL WRAPPED, THIS UNIT WEIGHTS ABOUT 700 LBS, SO I HAD AN OUTSIDE SPA MOVING COMPANY MOVE IT TO THE BACK PATIO ONLY COST ABOUT $150. 00, BUT THEY HAD ALL THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT WELL WORTH THE MONEY TO SAVE MY BACK. OVER ALL THE SPA IS VERY NICE FOR THE MONEY, WE ALSO PURCHASED The CoverMate III LIFTER FOR THE COVER, BEST THING I EVER PURCHASED MAKES THE COVER VERY EASY TO OPEN, ALSO PURCHASED THE Digital Color Spa Light - 24 LED
TOOK 2 MINUTES TO INSTALL, ALL I NEED WAS A SCREW DRIVER TO OPEN ACCESS PANEL AND TOOK THE BULB IT CAME WITH OUT AND PLUG THE DIGITAL SPA LIGHT IN. GREAT DEAL!!!!! THANKS SPA DEPOT!!!!!!.

Have owned this tub for more than 1 year and I have waited to review it until I had a reasonable track record
It has exceeded my expectations. We live in Las Vegas, so I didn't get the 220 volt heater. Although it can get down to 30 degrees once or twice a year for a few hours - the tub retains 104 temperature very well, regardless of the cold. The jets work well - again, better than expected (since I purchased the spa sight unseen). I did find that the touch controls are not very sensitive to touch, however! You do have to push pretty insistently on the icons to get them to operate (especially the light). .

 9/29/2010 Excellent purchase sight unseen
The Belize II Oval tub is the second spa that I have owned
Like others, I was hesitant to buy a product sight unseen, but after talking with their customer service people, I have found Spa Depot to be one of the best and most straightforward dealers I have ever worked with. I use my spa everyday, sometimes twice daily. I have it on my deck at my lake cabin, situated so that I can see the sun and moon rise over the lake, and I find it perfect for one person, since I am single. However so many respondants say two people fit comfortably, I would have to believe(belize?) them. I find the quality great, maintenance minimal, and the customer service superb! I bought this unit over three years ago and have never had a moments' trouble with it. I have the 220v system, which I highly recommend because it allows the heater to heat up faster (not hotter, just faster) and then use less energy to keep the unit at temp. The quality, as others have mentioned, is very high. I have an older Home Depot Jacuzzi at my home and find the Belize equal to it in every aspect except value. . . The Belize beats it by a mile!!!! When I needed to replace the control panel for the Jacquzzi, Spa Depot customer service supplied me with help in choosing a new upgraded panel AND detailed guidance in installing it myself. THAT'S customer service!!!!If I sound enthusiastic about this product it is only because I find it to be an excellent product in an industry that I have found often to be populated by mediocre products and get-rich quick hucksters. Spa Depot offers a high quality product at fair prices with an excellent customer service backup. Fo those who are hesistant deal with an online company, I can only say that, given the volume of positive responses I have read here, you can trust them. I did and I'm not sorry!!! Nick .

I am 6'2" and 250 lbs
This is the 2nd spa I have owned. The 90 inch length makes this spa very enjoyable. The 17 jet statement is misleading because 2 of the jets have multiple openings. But even with 11 jets the spa is great. I have the 210v upgrade and the ozonater, definitely get these. .

I couldn't be happier with my purchase of this Belize hot tub
Since I live in the south where it gets extremely hot, I searched for a spa that I could lower the temperature to run the spa with no heater (thus making it an "unhot" hot tub!) The technical support people at Spa Depot are extremely helpful. I have used Spa Depot to order items for my customers and am so glad I treated myself to this hot tub. .

We were a bit nervous
. . Ordering something this expensive online is "out of the box" for us! There were no surprises! The tub is great. . . deeper and larger than we had expected. . . The shipping company unloaded and placed it for a small fee. . . We did have to call the Spa Depot for some instructions, but were pleased with the help. . . A couple of the pipes were leaking but were fairly easily tightened. . . All in all a fabulous deal!.

 7/13/2010 I Love it!
I just received my Belize Oval ll today
Set up was extremely simply, just open the panel, remove the cord and plug it in!! It is just as beautiful as the pictures on line. I started filling it at 6:30, then added the chemicals which was very simple. And it was at 90 degrees by 9:15 and I just had my first soak. I am totally pleased with the product, service and the supplies provided. I was a bit hesitant spending this amount of money for an online purchase, but I am so glad I did!! Thank you, Spa Depot.

7/8/2010 everything they say it is.
I did a lot of research before buying a hot tub
I have a background in industrial design and in the plastics industry as well, and the DreamMaker line of products appealed to me for any number of right reasons. It was the best money I've ever spent. This spa has been trouble free and low maintenance from the start. I can only imagine what a new one would be like, and I know now that when i DO purchase a new spa, it will most definitely be a DreamMaker. They tout themselves as the "Honda of the industry" and I can attest to the accuracy of that statement. Also, during the course of my research, I had occasion to call the factory. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I can't say enough good about their product, and I wouldn't be ashamed to sell it for a living - and I'm pathologically honest.
I use my unit at least twice a day, every day, so even used, it has held up to some serious use and abuse. If you want bells and whistles, this isn't your thing If you want durable and effective, and economic, look no further. .

6/20/2010 Amazing spa - Great customer service!
We love our Belize Oval ll & the super responsive customer service from Spa Depot
We did significant web & in store research and found Belize had the best quality to value ratio. I order all our spa chemicals and supplies from them. We live right on SF Bay exposed to the elements (wind, sun, salt. . . ). Like with any quality product we followed their recommendations for long term care. I have maintained the cover with 303 Protectant and it still looks and feels good as new. Also, just treated the wood after 1 year with linseed oil - wow, the wood is even more beautiful than when it arrived. We chose the 110 v option and found it starts to cool down after about 20 min with the cover off, especially in the wind. However we compensate by partially leaving the cover on during use; this way the heat is maintained long term. Being in the tub is a luxurious experience.

 6/12/2010 Great Experience
I have been wanting a spa for many years, after owning one 20 years ago at a former location, but I lived in a condo where spas were not permitted by the HOA
After purchasing our new home I began to shop the market and found the Dream Maker line at a local pool and spa store. The person at the store did not seem to know much about the Dream Maker lineup and I decided to research it on the internet. Reviews were good and the price point was attractive. After findng the Spa Depot website and reading about the features and transit time, my wife and I decided to purchase the Fantasy model. It arrived a few days ago and we love it. And, much to my amazement I found that I was the owner of an all new Dream Maker "Hybrid" model spa. It actually incorporates an electric in line heater with their hot stick technology that allows the spa to heat on both low speed and high speed (when the jets are running) They say that no other 110 volt 15 amp "plug and play" spa on the market offers this technology. And, it really works. My wife and I have enjoyed several multi hours soaks in our new spa and it maintained a nice toasty 102 degrees (where I have it set). It is big enough for both of us (we are both six feet, one inches tall) and we have plenty of legroom and the jet action gives a vigorous relaxing massage. Set up was fast and moving the spa from the driveway where the trucking company unloaded it was done all by myself just by "rolling" the spa in an upright position and lowering it onto my patio. Installing the ozone kit took 15 minutes and we were ready to fill, heat, and enjoy. Do not hesitate to purchase this spa, it is a lot of spa for the money. .

 6/8/2010 Great Small Tub
This is a GREAT small tub for 2 people, If the cover folded it would be better
The Tub is what it is, it is comfortable for two and is very economical to fill and operate.
I have had two tubs in the past, and they were bigger and more costly, both in the Orignal cost and operation cost.
They wife and I are in our golden years and do not need all the bells and whistles, just a economical and easy to maintain spa.
So if you do not mind easy and simple, this is the tub for you.
The delivery was very good, the young man was very helpful gettig the tub to the location.
Happy Tubbing.

 5/27/2010 Exceeds Expecations
The idea of purchasing a spa over the Internet is daunting, but I couldn't be happier with the "Big EZ" and my experience with Spa Depot and Dreammaker
I've been using the spa nightly for 2 weeks now. What a great value! The spa is BIG. It seats 4 comfortably and is much nicer looking than I thought. The jets are powerful. The motor is 2 hp (rather than the 1. 5 advertised), so that probably helps. Delivery was fast and smooth, but you do need 4 people to move the spa from the delivery truck. I bought the optional ozonator and had a problem installing it so I called Dreammaker. They called me back within 5 minutes and could not have been more helpful, so I'm confident they will stand behind the product. I'm still getting the hang of the chemicals and test ph every few days, but I havn't had any significant problems. My only complaint is that the user manual is very short and not very helpful, but that's easy to supplement with the Internet. Yes, the spa heats slowly (about 1. 5 degrees F per hour), but it maintains the termperature well once heated and, in fact, hasn't come on yet except for the daily filter cycles. In short, this is a great spa for the money. .

5/13/2010 Great Product - Great Price
About hree year ago I decided that I really missed having a SPA and started looking for a new SPA for my new house
After looking at several stores and getting the sale pitch from each I decided to look on the web for more information. When I did this I ran across Spa Depot and read reviews on the tubs they offered. I decide that the features and the reviews of the Belize 1500 were very good and it was just the right size to fit into my Gazebo. The only worry I had was the distant of shipping since I live in Michigan. I ordered it and had it delivered. I was very impressed when it arrived in perfect shape beutifully packaged. We have been enjoying the tub ever since and could not be happier. Thank you Spa Depot. .

 5/3/2010 This thing is great!
I have had the Trinity just about a year, I use it every single day
It has been great! It heats up quickly and easily, I would recommend the 220 V model. The chemical kit that Spadepot sent with it has also been first rate. I was a bit concerned at first since the price was half of what local dealers wanted for a similar spa. But those fears have been alleviated. Even the moving company that brought it was great. I gave the guy an extra 20 bucks and he put it exactly where I wanted it. This is the first hot tub I ever owned, because I never thought it would be this easy. I would recommend Belize spas and Spadepot. .

We could not believe how good of a deal this was
I convinced my husband to get it and there has been no regrets. The chemical kit included with the tub makes the levels difficult to maintain because it doesn't use chlorine and we use it so much so I think we will switch to chlorine when we run out. We've owned it for about 2 months and are so happy. We will be purchasing the extended warranty. An A+ buy and the folks at Spa Depot were great too!.

The Luna Spa is a great portable spa for 2 persons even though it could seat 4 persons
Have had one for 3 years. It is easy to maintain. I can move it around and set it up by myself. Water temp up to 104-105 deg F depending on time of year. The 115 voltage design makes it affordable on the electric bill. The only things I have had go wrong: bad GFIC-power cord; worn digital control cover; worn filter grate; and worn original cover. Other than that, I love it! I play racquetball and for a 55 year old guy, it sure helps those aching muscles-joints plus I get a good relaxing soak. A great spa for the money, operation, and ease of portability-set up. Spa Depot gives great service too - folks are friendly. .

Love the TUB
Love the CUSTOMER SERVICE. Used it all winter - no problems!! Even for Southern Illinois at 0 degrees it did well (and I bought the plug-n-play). Fits 4 very comfortably.
The technical manual barely exists. There were no directions to unscrew the panel to access the electrical stuff. Had to drill your own hole to get the GFR plug out. However, after that it was terrific!!.

 4/2/2010 After almost two years
We purchased the Belize 1500 from Spa Depot almost two years ago and it was worth every penny
The quality is excellent; we have not had any problems. The jets are strong and well placed. The price cannot be beat anywhere. It keeps heat well and our utility bill increase with the hot tub is very reasonable (probably about $20 average increase). Unfortunately, the hot tub does not go over 104 degrees and it has some trouble keeping up with the heat when it is cold and windy. The wind just sucks the heat out and it can't keep up. One other thing is that the jets are supposed to be able to be closed and opened, but after about six months the strongest jets got 'sticky' and we no longer close them just in case we can't get them open again. Despite the above cons, the price is just so good and we love it so much that I still give it five stars. .

Everything is working well. The ozonator is working well. Electricity use is as predicted with the calculator. Cabinet looks great even after a harsh winter. Maintenance is a breeze. We absolutely love this spa! We have it on our deck and have enjoyed it practically every day in almost a year we have had it
This is an excellent value for the money! We saved some money by purchasing a 'factory second' model, but have yet to find any defect whatsoever. Upon delivery, the spa seemed a little heavier than expected. . . so have several strong people on hand to move it where you want it. The fact that it required no special wiring is definitely a selling point. . . our electric bill is only up a few dollars per month, even in the winter! Although advertised for 5 people, it would be more comfortable with fewer than that. Very easy to maintain with chemicals that came with it. The jets are adequate, and the lighting features are nice. Highly recommended!.

2/24/2010 Good Spa For The Money
Having owned one of the original Xspas, the first to offer a 110 no heater spa, I wanted to upgrade to something larger and more modern
The Xspa shell eventually failed with a large crack that became increasingly hard to patch. After much research, I purchased the Big EZ. It is much larger and has amenities like cup holders (yay) and a surprisingly bright and colorful light and it is much quieter than the old spa. The waterfall feature is noisy and I never use it. I added an ozoneater and while it does not replace the use of chemical sanitizers, it does cover those days when the sanitizer level drops too low and you don't do anything about it. Anyone who has owned a hot tub knows what happens when the sanitizer drops too low for too long. The major criticisms are few, but worth mentioning. The jets are NOT as powerful as they were on the Xspa, but after a few weeks they seem fine as you have nothing to compare them with. The temp on these (like all spas) is limited to 104, but since they take much longer to heat up, I wish there was an exception to overheat the spa deliberately. My old Xspa used to go to 110 and I loved it!
Anyway, once you have a spa you will always want one and this one is good value for the money. .

I am 5'6 and my husband is over 6'. . . . we found the 120 to be sufficient to maintain the heat level when in use and the jets action and their placement is perfect. . . additionally, we purchased the Ozone generator and found it easy to install. . . . we were also pleased with the courteous and prompt service provided by Spa Depot. . . . would do it all again. . . . 11/12/2009 long time owners review
I have had my Eclipse (Luna) hot tub for over 6 years now
It has endured 4 moves and one year of being stored outdoors without shelter (on it's side, leaned against the garage). I am amazed at how well the hot tub has held up to the abuse.
The molded plastic material does not show any scratches on the side after rolling it around on concrete and gravel. Once the internal cable going to the control unit inside came loose from the movement (unfortunately had to pay for a service call to find that out, but at least nothing was actually broken)
The first time I set up the tub after being stored outside for so long, I was worried about unseen damage to lines and the pump. It did require some extra cleaning. . but the pump and heater worked like a champ! no leaking either!
After all this, one side's air bubble control recently stopped working (all the jets still work great though), and the lettering on the controls have faded so you you cannot read it. The plastic on the air bubble controls got discolored from the sun when it was stored outside, but otherwise it still looks great after 6 years of hard use!
I did have to replac the cover after the vinyl had torn pretty badly. The styrofoam core withstood my 60 pound dog jumping onto it once.
I highly reccomend this unit. It is sturdy and durable. .

 9/27/2009 Belize 1000 first soak
Just installed yesterday, first soak today
I searched all over including local dealers. I wanted a simple tub. We like sitting in the warm water without noise. I wanted a deep tub with 1 pump, very few jets, simple. Couldn't find anything until I found this site. I spent 6months researching on the web and at local dealers. I finally decided to buy the Belize 1000 with the Sahara shell. For the price it just can't be beat. It arrived in perfect condition and I had it filled, wired and running within a few hours. The shell is thick, I like the color. The controls are simple, the equipment bay is spacious and open. The cedar is beautiful and I am glad I didn't get a plastic wood looking substitute. It may take some maintenance every couple of years but it looks great. I went into several spa dealers asking for this product and no one had anything close at any price. I have owned a tub before and do all of my own work, so I am far from a 'newbie'.
I am very satisfied initially. I will post again after I have had a chance to use the product for a longer period of time.

I was horrified at the thought of spending $3000
00 on such a large item over the internet. This is my first spa and we love it. It way exceeded our expectations. The people at Spa Depot are wonderful. They are some of the most polite and knowledgeable people I've ever dealt with. The hot tub arrived about 2 weeks after the order went through. The truck drivers were helpful. We live in a remote location where their large truck couldnt get to so they met us down the road and helped us load it onto our own trailer. Our friends are amazed at the price we paid. Everyone says this is the deepest tub they have ever seen. Our tub sets about 30 feet from the house so we had added expense of wiring and other electrical misc parts that added up to about $300. 00. Overall I have to give the whole experience 5 stars. I will continue to order from Spa Depot for everything I need in the future. Thank You Spa Depot.

 6/8/2009 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
The size is perfect for two people - it's like a deep, cozy bathtub - very comfortable, with powerful pump and well-placed jets
Due to our cold Colorado winters we ordered the 220v and did add some bubble insulation inside the cabinet and across the bottom before it was set in place. Our plumber who installed it was impressed and said the pump was as strong as the one we used to have in a much larger hot tub - it is quite powerful, with two speeds. It made it through the winter without a hitch - we use it (often twice)daily, weather conditions permitting - and like it better than the larger spa we used to have. It is easy to clean & the filters are way cheaper (and easily accessed) than the ones we used to have to use on our other tub(would definitely recommend getting the ozonator!); our utility costs are significantly less monthly than with our previous, larger, hot tub - we also like the fact that it uses less water. Arrival was less than the quoted two weeks, and the delivery people were friendly, helpful, and placed it inside our garage so that it wouldn't be left out in the driveway until we could get our installer scheduled. The first ozonator did not work properly and I was completely impressed with the quality of customer service at both this company and the company who manufactured the ozonator - the product was replaced within two days, no questions asked. Excellent company, all the way 'round!! Note: We found it best to program it for the maximum number of cleaning cycles for best results. .

5/29/2009 BEAUTIFUL, WELL BUILT HOT TUB
We just received the Belize Trinity Hot Tub from the Spa Depot
The hot tub is beautiful and very well built. We got the 110 hook up so it was as simple as fill with water, add a few chemicals and plug in to the outlet. The unit heated up to 100 degrees in less than 24 hours! Very quiet and comfortable. A great investment for the money and customer service from the Spa Depot has been teriffic. The shipping company was prompt, and called several times to update on date & time of delivery. I gave them a few extra $$ to move the spa to where we wanted and they did a great job so no work for me. Do not hesitate to purchase and have shipped direct. Save yourself $$$$ and buy direct!!. . . 5/10/2009 Best Investment
This is the second hot tub I have bught, the first one I bought from a local dealer and the problems started right away
I was hesitant to purchase a spa online without seeing it in person first but was persuaded by the low price, quality of the tub and most inportantly I was persuaded by the great reviews for not just this tub but for spa depot in particular. I was so happy when the tub was delivered, I was surprised by how beautiful it was. I esp love the wood (rather than plactic) siding. I have to say that the tub was one of the best purchased I have made. It runs fantastic and the depth of the tub is much deeper than expected. I would reccomend this company and this tub for any one who is looking for a spa for 2-3 people at a very affordable price. .

3/29/2009 Dream Maker Spas are AWESOME!!!
I have been in the market for a hot tub/spa for a long time
I just recently came into the means of actually getting one. There were ton of spas I could have purchased but the Dream Maker Spas appealed to me simply because of how easy they are to get started and use.
I will admit I was skeptical at first seeing how these spas to not even have heaters in them and I figured they might get warm but feared they would never get hot like a normal spa with an actual heater. Boy was I wrong. My Dream Maker Big EZ never falls below 102 even after 30 minutes of using it in cold weather. I set it to the max temp of 104 and every time I step outside to use it I am never disappointed.
The bottom line is I highly recommend anyone in the market for a top quality hot tub to consider the Dream Maker series. The only thing is I recommend patience when first turning it on because it could take up to 48 hours to get fully up to temperature but once it reaches it's max temperature it will not fall below 102. These spas are great for people who might not have the perfect spot or capability to install a hard wired 220 tub. Dream Maker Spas require nothing but a place to sit it and a regular 110 electric outlet. Just fill it up and plug it in and that is all there is to it.

We have owned 2 other spas before the X-400
I loved the first one, tolerated the 2nd, and hoped for better luck with this one. It has far exceeded our expectations. It is easier to maintain than any spa we've owned. My husband loves this one. For the 2 of us, it is easy to relax and stretch out and massage your feet and back at the same time. I just love how deep the seats are. It is easy to clean also. .

3/6/2009 Love the Oval Belize Hot Tub!
We wanted a two-person tub, but were hesitant to place our order because we couldn't see the tub prior to purchase
We've owned two other high-end expensive hot tubs, but we wanted to save some money this time. After a few phone calls/e-mails to Spa Depot (awesome customer service), we had all our questions answered. We placed our order on a Monday and our tub arrived FOUR days later! The delivery guys were fantastic (they even arrived early) and helped us unwrap the tub and put it in our garage. We needed to finish running the wiring, etc.
This is a great hot tub and is perfect for two adults. We use the tub on a daily basis. It is in our backyard nestled against the house where we have a nice view of our garden.
If we were to change anything, we'd upgrade to the 220. If the outside temp is cold (below 40 degrees) the tub cools off a couple degrees when the jets are running. We wish the cover folded in half. It would be a lot easier to handle. Overall, we are very pleased with our purchase and would definitely purchase another hot tub from Spa Depot.
Time for a dip in the tub. . . . ahhhh. . . . .

Excellent fit and finish
Have had ZERO problems in 9 months. I did buy the ozonator, coupled with the Nature2 bromine dispenser and add oxyspa shock and clarifier once a week. Water stays clean and clear. We have used it almost daily, even in the summer (we put temp at 98) I am 6'4", and my wife is 5'11", and we both fit in it easily. Light and waterfall are cool, especially at night. Noise is not a factor, and have not really noticed impact on electric bills. Excellent product for price!! .

We use our Belize 2000 daily and love it
It's a great spa and the price is right. If you are a bit of a do-it-yourself'er, these spas are the way to go to save some money. We built a sub deck for the spa. Did the wiring. Paid the delivery drivers an extra $50 to help get it in place. Hooked everything up and was enjoying the hot water the next day. The spa has run very well and I have no complaints about the spa at all. I'm not sold on Cleanwater Blue, which comes with the Belize spa's. We've had some green water that I can't get rid of, even after following the instructions to the letter. Second water change and two weeks later ended up with green water again. The water balance is right on and I'm using the shock as directed. So to re-cap, WE LOVE OUR BELIZE SPA, BEST PURCHASE EVER!!!! We will probably switch from Cleanwater Blue at our next water change.

 11/9/2008 Great Tub...on the small side - 2-3 person
This has been a great tub and spa depot was really easy to work with
We live in the mountains of Utah and it is great after a long day of skiing. The tub is definitely a 2-3 person however and not a 3-4. You have to put water in to the top of the jets but when you get 4 people in the tub the displacement causes the water to overflow the tub. Also with 4 people (and not big people - 4 from 100-160 lbs) it is pretty cramped. 90% of the time it is just my wife and I so we love it. Just be aware.
Overall it is great product. Affordable, easy to move, light on the electric bill, and very relaxing. .

We bought our Belize 1500 in June
When it was delivered it was easy to move with four people. The electrician hooked it up easily. The spa was great but after a couple of months, the pump quit working as it should. Mark, from Spa Depot, worked with us to quickly resolve the problem. Mark was very helpful and always friendly and polite. Now the spa works great and we are enjoying it on the cool evenings. It is easy to keep clean and the water heats up quickly as well. The jet noise is very quiet on low speed and fairly quiet on high speed. I really think we got a good product for a much lower price than we found anywhere else. Spa Depot has also proven they have good customer service as well and they do what they need to do to ensure customer satisfaction. I would reccommed the Belize 1500 spa and Spa Depot.

Easy to set up and came right through the door. It is replacing another one I had for 13 years. My other one was much larger and took up 2/3 of the porch. Well when it was time to replace it, I was looking for something much smaller. I found through the years, most of the time there is only 1 or 2 people in the tub anyway. So now I have a great spa and have regained alot of porch space. I also got the ozonator. It will save you on chems. Plus sometimes I can go a week without having to add any chems. .

I bought this about a month ago and my wife and I love it
Set up is very quick and simple. The jets are more amazing than I expected, and I love the fact that the cover can be locked into place to keep the little ones out. We got the ozonator option which really seems to help keep the water fresh and clear. Took about 30 minutes to install myself. Overall I am very satisfied and would recommend for those first time buyers. One drawback, I was not paying close attention when I ordered online and picked grey color instead of the tan my wife wanted and there is no way to exchange it since it shipped over a thousand miles. Shipping was free but it would cost a fortune to ship out a replacement in the color I should have ordered. So pay attention (not like me) when you place your order!

I've never written a review before but decided to share our experience
We had been shopping for a spa for about 2 months and I was about ready to pull the trigger on a large [brand name deleted] spa in the neighborhood of $9000. Then I decided to check Google and found Spa Depot. We ended up buying the Belize 2500LS mainly because of the price and tax savings. I admit I was holding my breath when we unwrapped it. The fist thing that caught the eye was the quality real wood cabinetry. Beyond that the quality was apparent from top to bottom. It is a beautiful spa and we have gotten lots of compliments from friends and neighbors. After about 3 months of use I can tell you it has functioned flawlessly and using it has become an almost daily routine for our family. The jets are powerful but you can adjust the intensity for various seats. When I sit in the lounger I turn them off all together and just soak but others can leave the jets on for their seats. I can't say enough about this spa or your company and am very happy about the fact that we got such a quality product (made in USA which is also a plus) while saving so much money. .

1/8/2008 Great spa and customer service
My husband and I decided about a year ago that we really wanted to buy a hot tub
After much research online and going to stores I decided to buy from Spa Depot. That was not any easy decision after spending time at the local spa shops. They thought I was crazy for buying a spa on-line without even seeing it but could not and would not even come close to matching your prices at Spa Depot. So after much deliberation we decided to order a Belize 1500 from Spa Depot. I am so pleased we made this decision. The Spa is spacious, comfortable and the jets are very powerful.
Your customer service agent Ken is a gem. He is very patient, knowledgeable and goes above and beyond the definition of customer service. I don't find many companies anymore that have even adequate customer service. I would recommend Spa Depot to anyone that is at all hesitant about ordering a Hot Tub online. .

12/14/2007 My Belize Oval II is awesome!
The Spa (Belize Oval 2) is awesome! It was shipped\delivered (free, I might add) all in one piece - in 100% perfect shape
Got it wired easily by my electrician; up and running in 3 hours - temp went from 64 (from the hose)
to 102 in less than an hour and a half (220v really makes it heat quick). Had the thermostat turned down to 80 for past 3 days and the temp is still as high as 94 - amazingly well insulated, saving me tons of money!
I am elated at this purchase - the price is a screaming deal with its real wood exterior and the thick acrylic interior. I sound like a salesman for the product, but I am also really impressed by your company (order status sent, instructions sent about delivery, the elaborate 'care' box of all the necessary spa supplies, the free 'devil duck', etc. . . ), which all adds up to a very positive consumer experience. I definitely will by buying my
supplies through you (and let anyone who inquires about my spa to checkout

This morning was one of the coldest in many years here in this area of Idaho
About 6:10 am the power went out. I called in a power outage report and then thought about the hot tub. I was unsure just how well our Belize would do in such conditions. Then about 8:00, as the sun was coming over the mountains, I checked the temperature-- 26. 4 below zero.
About an hour later the power company lineman came by to tell me it would be a few more hours. There was a remote line down and he had called for a "Snow-Cat" to be brought in. Well, at exactly 12:00 Noon the power came on. 5 hours and 50 minutes. Just so you know ----- It was minus 10. 2 at Noon. I was really curious how the Belize had done, so I went right out and uncovered it. I was VERY pleased to see the reading on the tub. It was at 100 degrees -- It had dropped only 4 degrees in almost six hours of very cold temperatures with no power!.

 9/10/2001 More than satisfied
We just received our spa from you 3 days ago
My first surprise was that my husband did not have to take the day off of work, they delivered and unloaded it right to our driveway. Later that evening when we unwrapped it, the spa looked just like it did in the picture. We were worried about ordering something online but everything is just what we expected, and then some. You have some wonderful employees. Every time I called they took their time answering my questions, and were so polite and down to earth. (they deserve a raise) LOL. We have friends who have Jacuzzis and cannot believe the price we got. I can't wait till they come over and try it. I have five children 16-22 with many friends waiting to try it out. I will recommend you to everyone. Well, just wanted to let you know I am more than satisfied. .
