Every 240 volt spa installation needs a Spa Disconnect GFCI Panel.
Designed for easy installation by the qualified do-it-yourselfer or electrician. GFCI protects spas requiring 3 or 4 wire feeds, for circuits from 20 amps to 50 amps. Other brands
are not specifically designed for spas. Our Connecticut Electric Spa Disconnect
Hot Tub Load Center is far superior, featuring a sensitive inductive GFCI and
a fast-acting, heavy-duty contactor for maximum safety and equipment
protection.
Specifically designed and engineered for spas to reduce false tripping:
Don't waste your money on a cheap
disconnect panel without protection against errant tripping.
Why this is a better choice for hot tubs:
Unfortunately, conventional load centers often perform unreliably
with hot tubs due to the phenomenon called errant tripping. This
false tripping is a great frustration to homeowners and electricians
alike, often incorrectly attributed to a problem with the spa, when
no problem exists.
Because of the reactive loads that spa motors present and the fact
that parts of the spa including ozonators may run on 120V, common
GFCI breakers sometimes react to a normal spa condition as if it
were a ground fault. They can be very unreliable.
Our GFCI Disconnect panel solves these problems. It's a dependable
ground fault detector designed just for hot tubs. The
specially-shielded GFCI prevents false tripping due to RF
interference. It is also engineered for low-voltage stability to
prevent tripping due to brownouts. If there is a ground fault, the
fast-acting GFCI instantly disconnects the lines.
Some jurisdictions REQUIRE the
installation of a 120V outdoor GFCI outlet, located 10-20 feet away
from a spa or pool. Check with local code authority.
Note: The bonus 120V branch circuit has its own 15A circuit
breaker, saving the expense of a separate wiring run for an outdoor
outlet. This alone pays for itself! Schematic & instructions
included.
Meets National Electrical Code Requirements
Code specifies a manual disconnect device at least 5 feet away and within line of sight. Our quality disconnect panel meets all requirements. Features an enameled rain-tight enclosure, a heavy-duty fast acting contactor, a quick disconnect for emergencies, and a 15-amp
GFCI protected branch circuit.
The separate 120 volt branch circuit with breaker allows you to add an outdoor receptacle, deck or landscape lighting, etc. without the need for an expensive additional wiring run to the main panel!
Product notes: Complete step-by-step instructions and wiring diagrams are included. Consult with your local building dept. for current local electrical code information. To be installed by qualified individual. Even if you hire an electrician, you'll
normally save money by purchasing this disconnect from us!
