Easy, effective
Love this thing. My small spa's drain is really slow, and this thing is 5 times as fast. Best thing I've found for sucking up a little grit at the bottom, or speeding up my full draining, or to circulate in some fresh from the hose, without worrying about overflow. No motors, no attaching to hose... let gravity do the work. My only issue is it's a little pricey for what it is; plastic tube, plastic shake valve, rubber hose.

Good Product/Worth the Cost
I have a 12' above ground pool and just needed something to get out settled dirt from off the bottom. I looked at vacuums that take batteries, but the reviews were mostly negative. I found this one and it seemed almost too easy and simple to use, therefore might not work too well. BUT IT WORKS GREAT, and was half the price!! You need to go a little slow, but I had the entire pool done in less than 10 mins. The amount of water the pool looses is minimal, and I can just store it in the garage when done. It's just what I needed!!

Great Product
The Shake-a-Vac II works exactly as described. It easily picks up the little bits of debris that accumulate at the bottom of the spa. No more lugging out the shop vac to clean the spa. Shake-a-Vac gets the debris with minimal loss of water. It is a great product and very easy to use.

Not just for the Spa
I have 2 of these I bought one for the spa and one for a small pond. I ended up using them for my 75 gallon fish tank for doing water changes, works great and have never sucked up a fish I get it started then prop it into a decorative piece and run it out the door...simple and great. Also have turtles in a 5 ft swimming pool out side and if it rains a lot I just put the sticks in and it drains the excess water while its storming out, oh yeah have used them to drain the spa as well and to suck up sand and small debris. Works great Has made my water changing duties easier than ever.

It works, GREAT price!
This was awesome, whoever invented this was very smart for something so simple. You just shake & once it gets moving water is flowing out. I wasn't sure it was going to work. I previously purchased one of those you connect to a water hose & waste tons of water- those are a waste of money. I think the tubing is the perfect size as well. My hot tub sits up on a 10" slab & it's tall. I just threw the hose over the side & it drained perfectly! Even got the tub down to the bottom of my Morgan spa. Great price, wonderful product for something so simple.

Yes, it does work well. But . . .
I am glad I have this and it does work well; except that the constant kinking of the hose is a definite annoyance. It's kind-of a stiff plastic (clear) discharge hose and, just past the handle, it kinks. I am going to be looking into some modification using a solid, curved tube from the handle to where I would then attach the hose - so that it doesn't have to make that bend. Or, maybe just some sort of different hose that won't kink and restrict/cut-off the flow. If it weren't for this, the product would be a definite 5-star, IMO. Don

It works!
It works amazingly well! Bought the first one about two years ago when we had a Spa-n-a-Box (included it with the spa when we sold it) Upgraded to a Freeflow Spa and purchased another Shake-a-Vac. We don't need to use it very often but it works when we do!
