The heart of any spa cover is the foam core it is built upon, which is tapered for rainwater runoff. Core thickness, quality, and foam density determine the spa cover's insulating value and strength. DuraTherm's 4" > 2.5" taper hot tub cover has higher R-Value, and is much stronger than other brands which taper down to a flimsy 2.0". Our models with a 5" > 3" taper provide even better strength and optimal insulation.
After selecting your core model, you'll choose from 15 great colors, indicate shape, dimensions, and select options such as double-wrapped core, full heat seal, etc.
TIP: Covers more than 5" thick are not recommended because they are too heavy and bulky for easy removal or use with most cover lifting devices. Covers thicker than 5" provide negligible insulating gains.

For example, our 5">3" taper spa covers actually provide superior insulation, strength, and durability compared to an unwieldy 6">4" taper cover using cheaper construction-grade foam cores.
